ICF Philippines is a registered local chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the leading global organization for coaches, with more than 27,000 members and 15,000 credentialed coaches in more than 100 countries worldwide. Founded in 1995, ICF is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high ethical standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches. Coaching is a distinct service and differs greatly from therapy, consulting, mentoring or training. ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.
Revived by Master Certified Coach Julius C. Ordonez in 2009 as a SEC-registered legal entity, ICF Philippines seeks to promote the practice of coaching in the Philippines and serve as the country’s resource of coaching based on global standards set by the ICF. To achieve these objectives, the Chapter offers a range of services to member coaches, including monthly talks, peer group coaching, individual coaching sessions and a variety of other resources. It also provides pro-bono coaching and training to select organizations and offers speakers for company and community functions.
This year is a significant milestone for ICF Philippines as it holds the FIRST ever International Coaching Summit. With the theme “Igniting Transformation,” the Coaching Summit will be the biggest coaching and leadership event in South East Asia, drawing over 800 international and local delegates.
In line with the Chapter’s vision and in celebration of the ICF’s 20th founding anniversary, the ICF Philippines International Coaching Summit aims to:
- Increase awareness of the science and art of coaching and its transformational impact on individuals, organizations and the society as a whole.
- Create avenue for collaboration among business and community leaders, executives, educators, professional coaches and anyone who utilize and are interested in coaching.
- Promote coaching as a highly skilled discipline and profession.
